The marina complex consists of brand new apartments, touristshops and cafes, surely a nice place to stay and enjoy the stay in Djerba

Walking past the cafes you will find the marina, where all the boats, yachts, and the pirate ships are moored

Like most marinas in Tunisia, this place is filled with pirate boats. You could easily hook up to a half-day tour on these boats if you want

Besides Penelope (prev. photo), there is also cleopatra, Barberoussa, Barberousse and others

Up-close on a pirate boat - to be honest, I thought they tried to make it as authentic as possible (at least for the outer part)

Carthage was one of the two that set sail on that morning

I was there when they set off. You could see the 'pirates' started to perform acrobatic moves when the boat set sail

On the other side is the place where the fishermen and the fishing boats are moored
