Vincent Poon :: Sidi Bou Said

With the narrow, cobbled streets and the white and blue houses, people often compare this little cliff-top village to the Greek islands. Well, if you really think that  either you have never been to Greece (which I highly recommend you to do so!) or that I am missing something here...

Having said that it is still quite a unique place in Tunisia and is worth a visit if you are visiting Carthage anyway.

We continued on and walked along the narrow, cobbled streets of the village
Some of the houses looked really interesting.. but most of them were just white and blue...
Finally we were able to see some sea...
But our sea view was blocked by this Cafe Des Delices. I am sure it offers a fantastic view to the sea below but since we already had our donut and mint tea, we really didn't have the appetite for more... and luckily for us, I read it later that this restaurant is famous for rip-offs!

The sun was setting but we could not find a good place to view the sunset
More houses, trees and colourful flowers along the way
Finally it seems we could see the sea
La Villa Bleue, a really nice 5* boutique hotel that I think you should stay if you could afford HK$2K to 3K per night

A good place to sit down to admire the stunning view of the Mediterranean Sea
Playing with the built-in filter of my Sony camera
Another one... to be honest, I quite like the effect here
