Vincent Poon :: Dubrovnik City - Old & New

Besides climbing the city walls and taking the cable car, the rest of our time was spent in the Old City exploring the museums and the churches, getting lost in the alleyways, checking out the Baroque and Gothic architecture, reading up the history and chilling out near the sea side. Although you could find many of these elements in many  other European cities, Dubrovnik in my opinion is still very unique and is definitely worth another visit

After a while, we headed back to the old city for lunch
Not sure what they are, patron saints again?
Another traditonal crafts shop, their logo definitely did not look too appealing to me...
A souvenir shop

and I liked the display...
If you look up, sometimes you will spot interesting stuff. This is another art studio within the old city
Around the corner we saw this house, that was bombed during the attack by the JNA in the siege of Dubrovnik in the 1991
Around the house are photos that told the story of how the owner survived on 6th Oct 1991, where the bombardment was the most intensive on the old city

We saw this in one of the restaurants, a good way of showing where to drink what in Croatia
On the last day we were lucky to run into '1000 kilometers of Dalmatia 2015', a vintage car rally show
As the name implies, these cars were driven from Split all the way across Dalmatia and returned back to Split after driven 1000km
This was taken on the 25th, just a day before the event ended.
