Armenia

Armenia Spring is full of green, daisies, poppies, apricots, sheeps and horses on the plateau. We hiked from Hagpat to Sanahin, Hagpat to Kayan Berd and learnt the history of this village through its monastery architecture and abandoned fortress.

As arranged by Alaverdi Guide, we met two young and passionate locals who told us a lot about their lives, community during our hike. Alaverdi is a region sufferring from lack of economic progress after the Soviet Times. AlaverdiGuide is run by a registered not for profit foundation which aims to promote Alaverdi tourism in order to help the locals employement. We enjoyed the local touch during our visit; and looking back... it is the most wonderful experience during our whole trip in Armenia.
