Nikon Tele-focus 長焦距系列,由俗稱的LB1-LB6 (小黑1~小黑6)．　價格是一代比一代震撼．對我來說，要用萬多二萬圓買LB6，是不用想．而綜觀這幾代，LB3的性價是最高．除了對焦速度不及LB4-6，沒有防震系統VR ，其他的項目並不輸蝕．想想，手中的Nikon D300，ISO 設定在1000以下，沒有明顯的噪音雜訊，那表示，鏡頭防震系統VR對我來說是可有可無．而且，我是習慣手勳對焦．而且，我的攝影題材以風景為主．那麼，對焦速度不及LB4-6，根本不是重點．

手上已擁有70-300mm f4.5/5.6D ED VR 數年，陪我去過南北彊，西藏．．．，輕巧好用． 但始終，Nikon系列內，應該有一枝LB來看門口．這枝鏡，在1993-1997的版本previous 80-200mm f/2.8D (1993-1997)．　而我買的是新版2008. Nikon AF NIKKOR 80-200mm f/2.8 D ED Macro (new)

     AF: Auto Focus　自動對焦.

     D: The lens tells the camera the distance to the subject, which helps the exposure meter, especially with on-camera flash.

     ED: Extra-low Dispersion glass, for reduced secondary lateral color fringes.

     Macro: Nikon plays a joke here, as there is no special macro range, just an orange band on the focus scale between 6 feet and 5 feet. I'll explain more later under Macro.

     (New): Replaces the earlier 80-200/2.8D (1993-1997).

在鏡筒中間有一膠圈"M/AF-M"制，

Slide "M/AF-M" switch located on the lens barrel to "AF-M" in this setting the lens will function on auto focus, but will still accept manual override allowing the photographer to focus the lens as well. The "M" setting is for manual focus, which relies on the photographer to focus the lens. On some versions of this lens, the switch simply reads "A" or "M" inside a rectangle box. The lens will still accept manual override when in auto focus mode.

Slide the focus range switch to "Full." This means the lens will focus across its entire focusing distance from approximately one meter all the way to infinity. Switching the slide switch to "Limit" will shorten the auto focusing distance from approximately three meters to infinity.
